Information about the mpox disease

The infectious disease mpox is essentially a zoonotic disease, i.e. a disease that can be transmitted between animals and humans. The virus can also be transmitted between humans.

News 15-08-2024 One case of mpox clade 1 reported in Sweden

A person who sought care at Region Stockholm has been diagnosed with mpox caused by the clade 1 variant. It is the first case caused by clade I to be diagnosed outside the African continent.
